Pre-plant treatment of tubers
Pre-plant treatment is carried out by spraying Melafen at a consumption rate of 300 ml per 1 hectare. Consuption of working solution is 300 liters per 1 hectare. During spraying it is important to ensure uniform distribution of the solution on the surface. To save the stimulating protective solution for further use, the tubers are placed in containers mounted on pallets.
The optimal time for spraying potato crops is the phase of budding - early flowering. It is recommended to use Melafen in tank mixtures with insecticides for Colorado potato beetles, or fungicides for late blight . Application rate of Melafen is 300 ml per 1 hectare of crops.
Optimal development of potato tubers has been observed when using the drug concentration of 10-8 mg per liter. In analyzing the structure of the potato crop in general it should be noted that the use of the drug increases the number of medium and large tubers (63%).
The yield has increased by 31.1 hundred kilograms per 1 hectare (10%). 63.6% of the yield consisted of large and middle fractions.
There has been marked a significant reduction in affecting potato plants with major diseases which, in particular, reduces the rate of degeneration of planting material.
